Chief Architect of A'Dorn Studios' "Career Mentoring & Seminar" Programs
Founder
and director of "A'Dorn Studios School Without Walls", formerly "A'Dorn Studios Modeling School and
Talent Agency". Wanda is one of the nation's premier veteran International Corporate Business Protocol and
Communications, Business Dining and Etiquette, and Cultural Diversity Inclusion Image Strategists, with three decades of experience.
A dynamic speaker and presenter, she is trainer to stars, corporations, politicians, governmental agencies and foreign business
executives conducting business in the United States.
Bridge the racial divide is what Wanda did more than 40 years ago when
she became the first "Colored" Stewardess for a major airline. Always a pioneer, a chance taker, often following
her heart into uncharted territories many young African American women in the 60's were not yet allowed or were afraid
to go. Wanda began her career evolution as a young model in Chicago. At age 16, she attended modeling school,
and won her first scholarship for dress designing. She has continued to bridge the racial divide throughout her life's
work in her quest to improve the image of African American women.
Wanda's commitment to teaching and
training began in the mid '70's, when she taught modeling at "John Robert Powers", and "Marnee Jones"
modeling schools. This led her to open her own modeling school and talent agency, franchised by "Screen Actors
Guild" (SAG), and "American Federation of Television and Radio Artists" (AFTRA). She studied and trained
in "International Protocol and Business Etiquette the Nation's Capitol, Washington, D. C., under the renowned University
Professor Dorothea Johnson, Protocol School of Washington.
Wanda holds teacher credentials in "Fashion Merchandising",
and "Business Management". She is the author of three books,"The Black Woman's Guide to Becoming
World-Class Competitive", "Deals are Made at the Dining Table not in the Boardroom", and "The Only Minority
in the Workplace, Group or Organization"; presently writing "Welcome Aboard Flight ... We Don't Hire Colored
Stewardesses". She has produced, directed and facilitated over 300 fashion shows, seminars, workshops, trainings
and events nationally and internationally. She has co-produced a short film, produced and hosted several television
talk shows; is a fashion and advice columnist, founder of the televised pageant, "The Black Model of the Year",
"The Little Miss", and "The Miss Kemet America", and served as a political and civic official, and a former
candidate for the School Board District.
"Dollars and Sense Magazine" named Ms. Dorn one of the "Top
100 Business and Professional Women in America. She was honored in "Who's Who in Entertainment", and "Who's
Who in Women". Among her other litany of honors and awards, she is an award-wining political activist, receiving
commendations from Congresspersons, State Legislators, Mayors, City Council, Board of Supervisors, Commission on the Status
of Women, and other local, national and international groups.
Because of her commitment to Black Women's
issues, Ms. Dorn is often referred to as "Ambassador". Ambassador Dorn is a world traveler whose seminars
and workshops provide a global roadmap for etiquette, business protocol and diversity, helping motivated women and men do
as the title of one of her seminars says, "Outclass Your Competition.
